Hmm, I have some fleeting interest in the news and Oz politics, but it is dropped as soon as we begin to travel; neither Carolyn nor I watch the TV or follow the news for the next four months. Personally, I find that our Oz politics is a perfect example of living in the illusions so deeply it is laughable. Intellectually clever people holding hands with stupid, both in behaviour and spoken words. Of course, they would see me as the oddball . . . but I am used to that.
As for the news, it fascinates me how the media actually believe their own drama. Even the weather is dramatised! I also translate the language of separation back into a more actual scenario of what may have happened. By this I mean looking at the bigger picture rather than the fragment which is presented. All in all it can be quite entertaining. But do I believe it, or get caught up in the anger, hate and negativity? Never.
Maybe one day . . . over the rainbow . . . the media will report on . . . choosing Love!
